... and its got about 50 pages worth of noise in it
abrahmdef: I would move that 1 line on linux.config to the bottom. It's defaulting to -pthread on the cheap n4 tablet. no 1 else seems to have this issue
okay
adrian_1908, sudo apt install pastebinit
adrian_1908, give us the url after the command ends
OerHeks: OOPS. Yeah, I did it, just a minute.
thx
No it's okay, here you go:
this is for the desktop.
adrian_1908, seems some old ppa/ppa-purge is still active
OerHeks: I'm using Ubuntu 18.04.3. Is there an easy way to update to a new release?
adrian_1908, that might be a good start
adrian_1908, but you can also run ppa-purge to rollback
I'm aware of it, but what if it's an older ubuntu and I want a new release. I guess I could upgrade to 20.04 and then clean up afterwards, but I'd have to be careful to avoid breaking things.
OerHeks: Sure, that's doable too, but if a PPA is active, do they not depend on the release version? Or does that go unnoticed?
they depend on the release version, but not if they are enabled
i am not sure if you have enabled them, or if you have added them
OerHeks: Yeah, I did that when I was updating from 18.04 to 18.04
